This talk and seminar feature John Heckman, widely known as "The Tattooed Historian".
"Our attention has evolved over the last decade. Digital content, storytelling, and marketing has progressed rapidly in the 21st century. Now is the greatest time for reaching new audiences for the least amount of cost. The internet and social media has leveled the playing field for businesses and entities of all kinds. How do we get the most out of our digital branding? What demographics are we trying to reach and where are they online? Which platforms are at our disposal and how do we use them for the best outcomes?"

John Heckman is known to online audiences as "The Tattooed Historian." While he worked alongside the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as an archivist and historian, John started his brand to reach new audiences in up-to-date ways. What once was a simple online project has now turned into a multi-platform digital footprint, helping to bring history to younger demographics. John has taken the bold step to leave his former job to create a brand and business around his passion for history through social media.
John's podcast, "The Tattooed Historian Show" is rated #1 by the AmericanRambler podcast.
John holds a Master's Degree in History from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and has been a historical interpreter for over 25 years. He has conducted programming alongside the U.S. National Park Service, the U.S. Army, the Boy Scouts of America, and has performed hundreds of school programs in the United States.
